10th anniversary of DDP

In March 2024, Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) celebrated its 10th anniversary.
In commemoration of the 10th anniversary, various DDP birthday celebrations will be held
for four days from March 21st.

• ○ Program: Special tour of DDP celebrating the 10th anniversary: The day and night of DDP
• ○ Dates: 4:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m. March 21-24, 2024 / 8 tours total
• ○ Location: DDP and Dongdaemun area
• ○ Target audience: Citizens who reserved a spot in advance online
  ※ Eight tours in groups of 20 or more. More than 160 people expected to join the tour in total.
• ○ Description
  • - Day and night tours of DDP and Dongdaemun area putting a spotlight on the daytime and the nighttime of the area
  • - Well-known architects and historians will be invited as docents for a day. A great chance to see and listen to the historical significance and remarkable architectural engineering behind DDP first hand.

  • - Free issuance of NFT symbolizing the last 10 years and the next 10 years designed by the designer of DDP’s 10th anniversary poster

② Birthday celebration experience zone

• ○ Program: Birthday celebration experience zone-10th anniversary birthday cake bigature photo zone
• ○ Dates: 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. March 21 - April 21, 2024
• ○ Location: DDP market entrance
• ○ Target audience: Citizens visiting DDP
• ○ Description
  • - A photo zone celebrating DDP’s 10th anniversary decorated like a party room with a huge piece of cake mockup created for visitors to take photos they can upload on their social media accounts
  • - A big spoon and Instagram photo frame stand, etc.
  • - A social media hashtag event giving out DDP Store products through a lucky draw after the event period.

  ※ An on-site participatory event held three times daily
• ○ Location: Cave stairs, Art Hall entrance
• ○ Target audience: Citizens visiting DDP
• ○ Description
  • - An experience zone where visitors can walk down the red carpet like the party price and the princess from the cave stairs and take photos in front of the photo wall
  • - A photo machine that allows visitors to print one picture they uploaded on Instagram among those they took on site and take home as a souvenir will be installed on site
  • - Distribution of DDP balloons (three times daily)

• ○ Program: Lucky draw sale and discount event at DDP Design Store
• ○ Dates: 3:21 p.m. until items are sold out. March 21-24, 2024
• ○ Location: DDP Design Store
• ○ Target audience: Customers who joined the lucky draw and bought a product from the store
• ○ Description
  • - Happiness of KRW 1,000, a lucky draw event open to only 100 participants on a first-come, first-served basis for four days starting 3:21 p.m.
       ‣ 100% winning event through a lottery ball machine
  • - A discount event celebrating birthdays
       ‣ 20% discount on all items on March 21
       ‣ 10% discount on all items for three days during March 22-24
