'Dongdaemun History Museum is prepared as a space to look back on the history and vastness of the old Dongdaemun Stadium by preserving and exhibiting relics excavated in the process of constructing Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) and Dongdaemun History & Culture Park. According to the investigation and excavation carried out during the period 2008~2009, the sites of Fortress Wall of Seoul and watch tower, flood gates, and military facilities of the Joseon Dynasty, which seem to be lost due to the construction of parks and the stadium during the Japanese occupation of Korea, were confirmed and related relics were excavated. Through the relics and videos, drawings of discovery engraved on the floor, and AR experiences, visitors can see the history of the old Dongdaemun Stadium.
